Here we are with another in our ongoing series of videos featuring Nyan at play. This is a trio of short films from a weekday evening a couple weeks ago. First up, we have Nyan riding his truck (as Mommy reads out some medical information in the background; he’d had a fever at school that day, but as you can see, he was fine by nightfall):

And here’s a variety pack: playing with his snail, deconstructing a puzzle, riding his ladybug scooter, talking on the phone.

Finally, Nyan puts his dummy (pacifier) in the water glass. Then he puts his hand into the water glass. Because that’s what you do, apparently.

Ever wonder know what goes on in that two-hour or so window between when Nyan gets home from ‘school’ (i.e. nursery, a.k.a. day care)? Of course you do. Well, here you go. A trio of videos showing the young man in all his playtime glory.

First up, check him as he bounces from toy to toy, then demands that Daddy open his toy chest, then goes through that toy chest, looking for the perfect toy:

In this video, more toy chest action. Note that if he doesn’t want a toy, he definitely doesn’t want a toy.

And here’s still more playtime: riding his little ladybug scooter, chatting, still seeking that elusive perfect toy. And don’t miss the bit near the end when he finds his telephone… priceless:

Daddy returned from Zurich with some Swiss chocolate for Mommy and a new toy for Nyan! It’s this simple wooden thing with three blocks – triangle, circle and square – that you put into slots in the wood box, and then you press down on a lever within the box so the blocks can slide out. It’s simple and fun – and here’s our boy playing with it. He doesn’t yet have it entirely figured out, but check out the intensity with which he examines the box, and his various creative methods of getting the blocks out of it…

Watch as Nyan Thomas rides his dump truck; crawls around, pokes at some toys; smiles; gets right up in the camera; and moves some toys out of the way so he can open the cabinet that he’s not supposed to open. (Note, too, how proud of himself he is when he accomplishes this task!)
