Today’s Photos: Playtime!
Nyan Thomas has gotten to spend a lot of time outside these past few weeks, oftentimes in the company of Noel and Lisa, who’ve done a fantastic job playing with him, taking him around, socializing, and just generally taking care of the boy. (Thanks!) Here’s some shots from some recent outings.

Nyan Thomas and Phwa Phwa’s Birthday
Nyan was blessed to be in Colchester for his Phwa Phwa’s birthday party earlier this month. It was, from all reports, a grand affair, and pretty much the whole family turned out. (Well, aside from one fella who was stuck back in New York…)

A Visit from Grandma and Aunt Maggie!
We’re a bit late with this one; apologies, but it’s been a busy month. Nevertheless: in late January, young Nyan Thomas got a visit from Grandma L. and Aunt Maggie. Maggie could only stay a couple days, but Grandma got to stay for nearly a week. Let’s look at some pictures…

Uncle Scott didn’t make it this time, but he was there in spirit, as he and Maggie sent Nyan, for Christmas, a hand-made rocking horse (among other things). Awesome! And the boy LOVES it:
Aunt Maggie got to give the boy a bath. (Yes, we make all of our houseguests give our son a bath. Hey, when you consider how much our guests save in hotel costs, it’s worth it, no? And no one, least of all Nyan, seems to really mind…)
Lots of cuddle time too.
It’s been a relatively mild winter, which means Grandma got to stroll the mean streets of Brooklyn with our boy:

Alive and kicking
Literally:
Young Nyan Thomas has been winning the hearts and minds of the United Kingdom for the past two weeks. He and his mommy have been getting deservedly spoiled with family love, home-cooked meals, and lots of sleep. Daddy’s been missing them, of course, but he’ll be over there soon enough. For now, he’s limited to occasional Skype calls. On Skype, you can take (fairly low-resolution) screen shots of the person you’re speaking to – such as this one, from earlier today:
That’s our boy, lounging on a blanket on the floor, watching the BBC news reports about Kim Jong Il’s death… and though you can’t see it in this still frame, kicking up a storm, as he always does. (Hence the title of this post.)
