Chinese New Year at River Hong Bao

19 Mar

Every year around Chinese New Year, they put on this big carnival downtown. It’s called River Hong Bao — which surely has some meaning that escapes us — and it’s pretty fun. We went down on evening after work.

The Singapore skyline was in fine form:

And we took lots of pictures of our hero, and his parents, and the general scenery.

What’s a carnival without bumper cars?

They also had various carnival rip-off games. Like the one where you ‘fish’ for prizes using a magnet at the end of a fishing line. We can’t recall what we won, but it surely wasn’t much.

Still: a fun time!

WOW! Looks like a great time. We must not have gone to carnival when we were there for New Year? Can’t imagine I’d have forgotten something like that. Where was Betty?
